Meet MEET

In case you haven't met ...

The Middle East Education through Technology consists of MIT students & alumni teaching computer science and business to excelling Palestinian & Israeli high school students in Jerusalem this summer. The main goals of the program are to (1) empower each student by teaching them professional and leadership skills and (2) help them develop a network of diverse peers from the area with whom they can partner with in future endeavors -- whether to change their community or maybe even the world. For many of these kids, the program will be their first opportunity to meet people from the "other side." We don't expect them to be best friends by the end of the summer, but we hope that they'll learn a common professional language and realize that they can work together towards common goals with cooperation.

As for me, MEET is the perfect combination of teaching, computer programming, travel, and making a small difference in the world using my technical abilities.
